When Zelda came into my life in March of 2012, I somehow knew she would one day break my heart—and when she left us on February 8, 2024, she did just that. The silence she left behind is vast. For twelve years, she was my shadow, my constant, my reason to keep going. She didn’t just walk beside me—she saved me.
Since her passing, I’ve tried to keep busy, to fill the space she once so effortlessly occupied. But in every pause, in every quiet moment, she’s there. The ache remains, and I know it always will.
Fly high, my love.

Ysera Jade, my beloved girl, the resident "show pony". She loved everyone she met and this loss was relatively unexpected and devastating. When she was 2 years old she was showing signs of cardiac arrhythmia on her annual holter with close to 300 singles. It was then I washed her as a breeding prospect but kept her with me as a beloved companion. She'd been through not one but two obstruction surgeries by 4 years old - the second being unavoidable after the first fiasco damaged her intestines due to veterinary malpractice. In late 2024 we noticed we were having to add more and more food to her diet and yet still she was progressively still losing weight. Our post mortem findings were that of horror. Her intestines were adhesioned into what looked like on x-ray, a crudely drawn flower and she was suffering with malabsorption issues. With nothing more we could do, we elected to euthanize.
Fly high my sweet Peep.
