My passion for Doberman Pinschers began long before I actually owned one. Growing up in a military family, large breeds weren’t a part of our daily life, but my fascination with dogs was constant. It wasn’t until 2012 that my husband and I brought home our first Doberman, a spirited girl we named Zelda.
Zelda wasn't from a reputable breeder, and we were novices in every sense of the word. Yet, she introduced me to the true nature of the Doberman—their intelligence, unshakable loyalty, and incredible drive. She served as my introduction to the world of dog sports, and her influence is the reason I am showing dogs and building a breeding program today.
Our journey wasn’t always easy. We faced scrutiny in the show ring, often navigating the challenges of being newcomers with a “non-traditional” dog. Zelda taught me resilience and the importance of staying true to my vision. Whether we were competing in Lure Coursing, Barn Hunt, or the show ring, Zelda proved that the bond between handler and dog is the most important element of any success. She remains the cornerstone of my work.
In 2016, my perspective evolved further when I welcomed Douglas into my home from Benchmark Dobermanns. Living with a true working Doberman was a humbling experience, but it provided the clarity I needed. We earned his UKC Grand Champion title, but my focus with Doug has always extended far beyond conformation. He has excelled in Dock Diving, Weight Pull, Rally Obedience, and Protection Sports, proving that a dog can be both elegant and capable of incredible work
Through Zelda and Douglas, my mission has crystalized: I don't believe in separating "show" Dobermans from "working" Dobermans. I strive for both. My goal is to restore balance to the breed and bring the true guardian spirit back to the Doberman Pinscher.
This journey has taught me that while the destination is important, the path—and the lessons we embrace along the way—is what truly defines us. I am grateful for the mentors and the dogs who have shaped my approach to responsible breeding and dedicated stewardship of this remarkable breed.
